Some words from:
Which Bridge To Cross
By Vince Gill

... I can't sleep at night, I toss and turn, I keep losing sight of the lessons I've learned
I'm standing at the crossroads with just one concern
which bridge to cross and which bridge to burn

I knew this was wrong, I didn't listen, cause a heart only knows what feels right
Oh I need to reach a decision, and get on with the rest of my life
.

I let her lie
By Daryle Singletary

She woke up, at six A.M. telling me she'd been out with friends and I let her lie, I let her lie,
And in the glare of the morning sun she swore I was the only one and I let her lie
I let her lie

Cause the truth was too hard to handle, and I couldn't bare to lose that girl.
We were that small town scandal, but she was my only world

One teary night, she confessed her sins but she vowed to never cheat again and I let her lie,I let her lie
Though she tried lord, she could not change And I only have myself to blame Cause I let her lie
I let her lie

Cause the truth was too hard to handle, and I couldn't bare to lose that girl.
We were that small town scandal, but she was my only world

The day I left no words were said She was sound asleep on our double bed and I let her lie,
I let her lie, I let her lie, I let her lie

1982
By Randy Travis

Operator please connect me with nineteen eighty two, I need to make apologies for what I didn't do,
I sure do need to tell her that I've thought the whole thing through,
And now it's clear that she is what I should have held on to.

They say hind sights twenty, twenty ,But I'm nearly going blind, From staring at her photograph,
And wishing she was mine, It's that same ole lost love story, It's sad, but it's true, There was a time when she was mine,
In nineteen eighty two.

Postman can you sell me a special kind of stamp, One to send a letter from this crazy, lonely man, Back into the wasted years of my living past, I need to tell her now I know how long my love will last,
Losing my mind going back in time,To nineteen eighty two.

Love Never Broke Anyone's Heart
By Vince Gill

You say your heart has been broken, And it's taking forever to mend, And it's left you even more certain,
That you'll never love again

A long time ago someone told me, It's not love that causes the pain, Whenever a heart has been shattered,
It's the loosing of love that's to blame

Love never broke anyone's heart, It never left anyone scarred, It's not really love if it tears you apart,
Love never broke anyone's heart

I know your feelings are tender, And you're so afraid they won't heal I'll prove to you love doesn't hurt you,
And I'll show you how true love should feel

Love never broke anyone's heart, It never left anyone scarred It's not really love if it tears you apart,
Love never broke anyone's heart

So It Goes (With Everything But Love)

A Mansion On The Hill, Is A Lovely Sight To See, But Like Any Other House, It's Only Temporary, Home Is Anywhere You Choose To Put Your Heart, If There's No Love Inside, It'll Soon Fall Apart

Ashes To Ashes, Dust Into Dust, Buildings Will Crumble, Bridges Will Rust, Mountains Will Disappear, Rivers Will Dry Out, And So It Goes, With Everything But Love, So It Goes, With Everything But Love, So It Goes

You Can Drive Around, In A Long Limousine, If You Don't Know Where You're Going, It Don't Mean A Thing, He Who'd Walk A Mile, Just To Hold An Empty Hand, Knows What It Means, To Be A Wealthy Man

Ashes To Ashes, Dust Into Dust, Palaces Will Crumble, Bridges Will Rust, Mountains Will Disappear, Rivers Will Dry Out, And So It Goes, With Everything But Love, So It Goes, With Everything But Love, So It Goes

World Needs Treasures, The Willow Pass Away, There's Just One Thing That's Put Here To Stay

Ashes To Ashes, Dust Into Dust, Kingdoms Will Crumble, Bridges Will Rust, Mountains Will Disappear, Rivers Will Dry Out, And So It Goes, With Everything But Love, So It Goes, With Everything But Love, So It Goes

Time
The Alan Parsons Project

Time, flowing like a river. Time, beckoning me, Who knows when we shall meet again, If ever
But time, Keeps flowing like a river, To the sea

Goodbye my love, Maybe for forever, Goodbye my love, The tide waits for me,
Who knows when we shall meet again, If ever, But time, Keeps flowing like a river, (on and on),
To the sea, to the sea, Till it's gone forever, Gone forever, Gone forevermore

Goodbye my friends, Maybe for forever, Goodbye my friends, The stars wait for me,
Who knows where we shall meet again, If ever, But time, Keeps flowing like a river, (on and on),
To the sea, to the sea, Till it's gone forever, Gone forever, Gone forevermore

Questions
By Manfred Mann

In a dream it would seem I went to those who close the open door
Turning the key I sat and spoke to those inside of me

They answered my questions with questions And pointed me into the night
Where the moon was a star painted dancer And the world was just a spectrum of light

They reached to my centre of reason And pulled on the touchstone that's there
The shock of that light had me reeling And I fell into the depths of despair

They answered my questions with questions And set me to stand on the brink
Where the sun and the moon were as brothers And all that was left was to think

They answered my questions with questions And pointed me into the night
The power that bore me had left me alone To figure out which way was right

Wasted Time
By The Eagles

Well, baby, there you stand with your little head down in your hand. Oh my God, you can't believe it's happening again. Your baby's gone and you're all alone and it looks like the end.

And you're back out on the street and you're tryin' to remember. How do you start it over? You don't know if you can. You don't care much for a stranger's touch but you can't hold your man.

You never thought you'd be alone this far down the line and I know what's been on your mind, you're afraid it's all been wasted time.

The autumn leaves have got you thinking about the first time that you fell. You didn't love the boy too much, no no, you just loved the boy too well. Farewell.

So you live from day to day and you dream about tomorrow, oh. And the hours go by like minutes and the shadows come to stay. So ya take a little something to make them go away.

And I could have done so many things, baby, if I could only stop my mind from wond'rin' what I left behind and from worryin' 'bout this wasted time.

Ooh, another love had come and gone. Ooh, and the years keep rushing on. I remember what you told me before you went out on your own: sometimes to keep it together we got to leave it alone.

So you can get on with your search, baby, and I can get on with mine. And maybe someday we will find that it wasn't really wasted time.

Aprils Fool
By Ray Price

The first time I met April, was in the middle of December, and she's taught me so many things, I'd rather not remember. In winter time she has me, wearing summer clothes. In summer, she has jack frost, nipping at my nose. People say that April treats me cruel, but I just smile when they say;
- There goes Aprils fool

Gonna Burn Some Bridges
By Ray Price

Tonight I'm going out and burn some bridges, but only on the roads that leads to you.
Find a bar and drown a million memories, what else is there left for me to do ?

This time I won't give in and let you put me thru, another day, for you to play, with a heart that worships you. Cause tonight I'm going out and burn some bridges,
but only on the road that leads to you

Tonight I'm going out and burn some bridges, across the crazy river of regret, find someone who thinks a little of me, and maybe somehow then I can forget

This time I won't give in and let you put me thru, another day, for you to play, with a heart that worships you. Cause tonight I'm going out and burn some bridges,
but only on the road that leads to you

I've Just Destroyed The World I'm Living In
By Ray Price

The sun just went behind the clouds, there's darkness all around me now, for I just destroyed the world I'm living in. I broke her heart so many times, and now at last I've broken mine,
for I've just destroyed the world I'm living in

What made me think that I could go on hurting her, I should have known there'd had to be an end. But fools in love, are thought by faith, they never learn till it's too late,
and I've just destroyed the world I'm living in

Old Lonesome Feeling
By Warren Smith

I've tried so hard to chase this blues away, but it seems that this old heartache's here to stay. Just when I think that I'm about to win, that's when that poor lonesome feeling, comes creeping back again

Lost and lonesome missing you, pretending that I'm happy, what good does it do. Just when I think my sorrow's reached an end, that's when that poor lonesome feeling, comes creeping back again

Maybe time will wipe away these tears, how can I wait when minutes seems like years. Each time I think of things that might have been, that's when that poor lonesome feeling, comes creeping back again

Sweet Memories
My world is like the river, as dark as it is deep, night after night the past slips in, and gathers all my sleep. My days are just an endless dream of emptiness to me,
filled only by the fleeting moments of her memory.

Sweet memories, sweet memories, ...

She slipped into the silence of my dreams last night, wandering from room to room, she's turning on each light, her laughter spills like water from the river to the sea,
and then swap away from sadness clinging to her memory

The Cowboy Rides Away
By George Strait

And my heart is sinking like the setting sun, setting on the things I wish I'd done. It's time to say goodbye to yesterday, this is where the cowboy rides away.

And my heart is sinking like the setting sun, setting on the things I wish I'd done. Oh, the last goodbye's the hardest one to say, this is where the cowboy rides away.

This Cold War With You
By Ray Price

The sun goes down and leaves me sad and blue, the iron curtain falls, on this cold war with you. For you won't speak, and I won't speak it's true, two stubborn people with a cold war to go thru

Why, oh, why, does love ever come to people like you and me, who's cold cold wars are never done, and who's hearts just can't be free. So let's do right, or let's just say we're thru.
I just can't stand another cold cold war with you

Worlds Apart
By Vince Gill

There's nothing quite as lonely as a sky that turns to grey, or love that just starts dying and slowly fades away. You were my best companion, now we lie silent in the dark.
Why do you and me have to be worlds apart ?

There's nothing quite as empty as when children go away, and all that's left are memories of all those yesterdays. You can't understand the feeling, till it finds it's way to your heart.
Why do you and me have to be worlds apart ?

There's nothing quite as ugly as two people full with hate, we'll all end up as equal, when we stand at Heavens gate. Oh, love is still the answer, it's the only place to start.
Why do you and me have to be worlds apart ?

She used to love me a lot
By David Alan Coe

I saw her through the window today, She was sittin' in the Silver Spoon cafe,
I started to keep going, But something made me stop, She used to love me a lot

She looked lonely and I knew the cure, Old memories would win her heart for sure,
I thought I'd walk on in there, And give it my best shot, She used to love me a lot

I sat down beside her and she smiled, She said where have you been it's been awhile,
She seemed so glad to see me, Lord,I could read her thoughts ,She used to love me a lot

She used to love me with a love that wouldn't die, Looking at her now I can't believe I said good-bye,
It would only take a minute to turn back the clock, She used to love me a lot

Well I reminded her how good it was back then, I said you know it's not to late to start again,
We could spend a night together, Take up where we left off, She used to love me a lot

Then I panicked as she turned to walk away, As she went out the door I heard her say,
Yes I'm in need of something, But it's something you ain't got, But I used to love you a lot

Rose colored glasses
By Charlie Rich

I don't know why I keep on believin you need me, When you prove so many times that it ain't true, And I can't find one good reason for staying, Maybe by leaving would be the best for you,

But these rose colored glasses, that I'm looking through,
Show only the beauty, cause they hide all the truth,

And they let me hold on to the good times, the good lines, The ones I used to hear when I held you, And they keep me from feeling so cheated, defeated, When reflections in your eyes show me a fool

These rose colored glasses, that I'm looking through,
Show only the beauty, cause they hide all the truth,

So I just keep on hope-in, believin that maybe, By countin the many times I've tried,
You'll believe me when I say I love you and I'll lay these rose colored glasses aside
